Bardi Jawi Ranger Talk

An interactive cultural experience.

Come and enjoy the one hour Bardi Jawi Ranger talks and learning about the Bardi Jawi history, languages, culture, heritage, ranger duties and looking after country.

Ranger talks run on Wednesdays at 11am for approximately 1 hour.

Rosanna's Cultural Talks

Rosanna will share images from the past, explain the local history of the area and give you great insights into how people have lived over time.

Her personal connection with so many of the events and people is evident as she shares with you stories of Ardyaloon, Djarindjin and Kooljaman local history.

Rosanna currently serves as the chairperson of Kooljaman.

Rosanna's talks are held at Dinka's cafe, and run for approximately 1 hour.

Sunday Island Adventure Tour

Join Traditional Owners exploring the beautiful Buccaneer Archipelago. Cruise, fish and land at Sunday Island.

See the old mission or sit on the beach and enjoy billy tea whilst listening to stories about this ancient area.

This tour runs for approximately 6 hours.

Adult: $525
Teenager: $425 (10 - 14)
Child: $250 (3 - 9)


Kevin and Donna's Iinala Booroo Tours

Join Kevin and Donna at their traditional Baali, Ardyaloon community for billy tea, damper and yarns about Bardi Jawi life.

A One Arm Point day pass may be required should you choose to stay in the community and visit the hatchery after the talk.

A map will be provided by Kooljaman.

The Iinala Booroo Tour runs for approximately 1.5 hours.

Southern Cross at Lullumb Coastal Walk

Join Bolo and embark on an inspirational journey along the stunning coast of the Dampier Peninsula.

Experience the wonder and beauty of a unique environment. Discover breathtaking, contrasted landscapes and an amazingly rich biodiversity.

Get to meet and interact with local people and learn about the Bardi Jawi traditional ecological knowledge and modern ways to live off the bush and the ocean as you walk through mangroves, salted mudflats, and beautiful creeks.

Learn how to find fresh water, how to build a shelter and how to survive in the bush. Discover how local people used to live and how they perpetuate their traditions through the reconstitution of an old settlement and ancient fish trap.

The coastal walk runs for approximately 4 hours. 4WD essential.

Oolard Coastal Explorer - Whale Watching

Operates July, from the first whale sighting, to approximately Mid September - enjoy seeing whales cruise along the spectacular Kimberley coastline.

This cruise runs for approximately 2 hours.

Adult: $100
Child: $80 (3 - 14 years)

Please note this is an un-catered activity, and that a minimum number of passengers are required for us to run the tour. Self catering and BYO are welcome, or enquire for packages.

Oolard Coastal Explorer

View the stunning, and unique, coastline of Cape Leveque on Oolard II. You may even be lucky enough to have a close encounter with turtles, dolphins and the magnificent whales (from July to September).

Oolard Fishing Charter

Cruise out to the nearby reefs for a fun tour fishing for some local favourites; Blue-bone, Snapper, Spanish Flag, Coral Trout, Mangrove Jack, Trevally or maybe even something larger! Bait and fishing rods are supplied.

Times of tours are weather and tide dependent, and will be confirmed closer to the day booked.

This charter runs for approximately 4 hours.

Adult: $200
Teenager: $160 (10 - 14 years)
Child: $100 (3 - 9 years)

Oolard Sunset Cruise

Join your group at reception and let us drive you through the sandunes to the eastern fishing beach, where you will meet the Oolard.

Launch from Kooljaman's eastern beach. Cruise around the peninsula and then watch the sun set over Leveque Island whilst you sit back, relax and enjoy some tasty nibbles and a quiet non alcoholic drink*.

A perfect end to a perfect day.

Where possible a cultural guide will be in attendance.

This cruise runs for approximately 2 hours.

King Leopold Scenic Flights

We offer magnificent scenic flights over Buccaneer Archipelago, Cygnet Bay, Cone Bay, Horizontal Falls, Talbot Bay, Strickland Bay, Hidden Island, Silica Beach, One Arm Point, Sunday Island, and much, much more.

Flights are available through King Leopold Air throughout the dry season.

Day Passes

Visit Kooljaman for the day to sample the beauty and wonder of Cape Leveque.

As Kooljaman is a private property, passes are required to access the beaches, boardwalks, cafes and facilities. Should you wish to drive to the beaches and other facilities, vehicle passes must be purchased in addition to walking passes.

Feel free to bring your own picnic and utilise our BBQ's and other amenities during your stay. Kooljaman is not licenced however BYO alcohol is permitted.

Day passes are current from 8am on the day of issue to sunset.

Vehicle: $20
Senior/Student: $7.50
Children under 18 are free.

Day passes are not required on days you have purchased accommodation, as they are included in the price.
